W4 BPM Embedded Edition: Version 6 is now available!

W4 BPM Embedded Edition is a packaged offer for  Business Process Management (BPM) embeddable components. This package addresses all software editors, and may be used on all industry standard platforms.

Innovations of W4 BPM Embedded Edition v6

This new version 6 proposes many improvements for optimizing the BPM platform, both for development and for operations, and in particular with an increased load capacity including a Cluster option.

Cluster Option

• Increases the processing capacities of the BPM platform, by increasing  the number of nodes within a cluster that behaves like a unique logical server. The main node is dedicated to processes execution and the secondary nodes serve customer operations
• Continuity of service in the event of breakdown of one of the secondary nodes
• Upgrade of the web administration interface for management and configuration of clusters, including their supervision

Improvements for managing the resource server

• The internal functioning of the component server was improved, in particular concerning thread management and the database for a better robustness
• Optimization of certain API functions
• Each server uses only one JVM and because of this is more powerful and less greedy for resources
• Internal communication no longer relies on the "RMI" communication mode
• Support of DB2 on Windows

Prototype / application development

• Prototyping is richer in terms of user interface, in particular concerning data. This capacity provides better continuity for application development, and reinforces the possibility of exchanges between FlowPoint and FlowComposer
• The design of the user interface has been facilitated by fine-tuning the configuration of form objects (mandatory fields, maximum length...)
• Improved Dreamweaver support for Tag Library management
• Improved and extended FlowBeans Library
