The analyst TEC (Technology Evaluation Centers) in its report "Vendor Spotlight" recognized the strength of the founding principles of BUSINESS FIRST and relevance of its positioning. The offer combines a pragmatic BPM application development environment with wider business benefits.

The TEC report underlines the merits of the initial merger of two complementary technologies that helped lay the initial foundations of the BUSINESS FIRST, W4 dedicated flagship product for collaborative applications.

The integration of the concepts of RAD (rapid application development) according to model-based engineering (MDE) in an environment dedicated to workflow and BPM (Business Process Management) has lead to a complete and mature product for the future. The company has developed a range of tools to meet new challenges that businesses face today, guaranteeing at the same time agility, strength, endurance, and scalable results.

TEC notes that W4 was able to develop its product while remaining true to its philosophy centered on human workflow, through appropriate concepts inspired by MDE to create and operate processes more efficiently. W4 thus enables IT teams to act primarily by configuration and also provides them with a complementary set of tools to meet the needs of BPA (Business Process Automation), document management and analytical capabilities to manage and monitor business and industrial applications.

TEC also praised BUSINESS FIRST's capacity as a platform for consumer applications from different environments: rich clients, thin clients and mobile web 2.0. Creating applications without unnecessary code, the automatic documentation generation, version management, discovery by introspection data systems and approach "set-play" are all features that allow W4 to offer BPM as a complement to its software platform and expand its scope of application development.

With its approach of mixing the best of BPM and application development, W4 customers can now quickly develop systems based on complex processes and business applications for the web or for internal systems. The offer is particularly attractive for companies urgently needing highly flexible collaborative applications.

TEC placed W4 BUSINESS FIRST in the top group of BPM tools (Read the TEC report).
